                This corporation operates six affiliate banks throughout the Southwest (i.e., California Bank & Trust, National Bank of Arizona, Nevada Savings Bank, Amegy Bank of Texas, Vectra Bank of Colorado, and Zions Bank in Utah and Idaho, and the Commercial Bank of Oregon (single office) and the Commercial Bank of Washington (single office). Currently on the Retail Lending team. Responsibilities in this primarily vendor-applications maintenance shop include the following. Worked on several conversions to add new banks to the processing stream (e.g. California Bank & Trust, Stockman’s Bank [Arizona & California], and Silver Dollar Savings Bank [Nevada]. Developed retail credit feed to Hart-Hanks customer database for Amegy bank. Developed expanded comments upgrade to Collection Management System (CMS) Primary development and maintenance is to the Advanced Credit Line System (ACLS). Installed Resolve Check 2.0 (Adjustments) CICS based application with Server based user front-end; and, Payments Warehouse identically configured. Coded new Loan Advances and Payments functionality to ACLS. Supported the Office of Child Support Services (OCSE) response application. Designed and built the ACLS extract DB2 database. Currently developing API’s to communicate Bancorp wide automated payments and advances with the retail credit system. Also developed/installed ASM fixes to Sort Exit program for Kiting.

August 2001 to August 2006         Wells Fargo Bank/Norwest

                Assignment with a major U.S. Financial Institution for support and development of the leading Internet Fraud Detection and Payment System. Programming done in COBOL, CICS, DB2, SQL, BATCH, MVS JCL and Utilities. Responsible for authenticating application completeness and integrity in twelve new CICS regions required to support increased business volume. Implemented international character translation for world-wide commerce. Designed, coded and implemented a reliable automated monitoring application which elicits alerts for network outages, application error thresholds, and general failures, by e-mail, page, auto-ticket, and monitored terminal alert. Activated and implemented auto-feed of credit card charge back data from CC Companies. Regularly tasked with connectivity for various financial payment systems; and, optimization of Settlement Processing.                 The Capital Markets & Trading - Trading Systems area owns and supports the mainframe based Trading and Purchase & Sales processing applications in support of the Trading Functions within the Capital Markets & Trading Enterprise, as well as other areas within the Schwab organization. These functions include Order Entry, Message Routing, Trade Execution, Message Traffic Analysis. Clearing and Settlement, and Confirmation processes. Projects include baseline production support and maintenance of existing information systems applications, SEC regulatory, infrastructure annd functional enhancements, and new product development.                 World-wide processing center for Travelers Checks, and Money Order processing. Y2K Resolution Team modified applications to become Milleniax (Y2K) compliant. All systems employ IMS DB and DC with MFS, with much DB2. Development languages include IMS/DB2/MVS COBOL, Easytrieve, REXX, CLISTS, some SAS. Systems modified included MAPS, a product performance management reporting system: BARS, a bank account reconciliation system, Setup Express, Account Maintenance, Voucher Check, FIMIS; and new Money Order application development including online screen applications and batch development.

March 1997 to October 1997       American Stores Corporation

                Fortune 50 company operating Lucky Stores, Jewel Foods, Osco Drugs, and American Drug Stores. Solely responsible for maintenance of existing LIFO tax/retail reduction calculation system written in PL/I with IMS/DC. System contained batch, CICS, TSO/ISPF Dialog components. Created new DB/2 inventory extracts for Lucky Stores and implemented into production. Sole support for first Retail Reduction run using a modified LIFO system. Performed analysis and design of new components/strategies to modernize the LIFO application.

June 1996 to March 1997                                Wells Fargo Bank

                XM (Customer Cross Reference) for Waves 1,2 & 3 of the First Interstate conversion, extracting and loading data to the Accounts/Customer Relationship tables. Analyze, develop, implement ORB requests/responses initiated by Tellervision (UNIX) through WEBS (MVS/CICS) to XM. (Via local MU protocol). Analysis and development of Product Delivery Systems Group new central repository (CARR) for customers, accounts and addresses, as well as their respective relationships. Data store contains Multiple and Temporary address functionality, name and address standardization and Zip +4, plus additional customer demographic information.                 Consultant on the Wall Street by Fax/Research On Request Project. Responsible for solving, coding, testing and implementing a real-time order entry system which performed a synchronous coast-to-coast link from ESA/SNA/Ethernet/TCP/IP to an external provider NT across a WAN utilizing TCP/IP. The solution was the CICS family of products consisting of CICS/ESA, CICS/6000 and CICS/NT. Coding was performed in C with CICS and COBOL II with CICS. Application Analyst/Developer for WRAP account project and Quicken offerings.

April 1994 to August 1995           Visa

                Consultant on the Base II Configuration Repository Project and employee on the Visanet Settlement System. The Configuration (CNFG) is reference data that describe the physical and logical environments under which the VISA Financial Network operates. The system(s) are new implementations using a data repository of about 60 DB2/SQL tables, and interactive ISPF based, COBOL II implemented front-end enabling maintenance of the repository. All Dialog Manager features employed key lists, command tables, CUA pop-up panels, file tailoring, etc. Project included some Assembler development. Extended analysis phase preceded code creation.

August 1992 to April 1994           Bank of America

                Consultant on the Corporate Deposit Systems application. Designed, coded and installed major on-line enhancements to the Accounts Reconcilement System (FAR). Using DB/2 with IMS DC, coded Register sub-batch Add, Update and Query; and, Review Outstanding Batches. Also, Balance Certification Exception Add, Update and Query. Designed and installed the mainframe component of an X.400 protocol EMAIL system which enables Corporate Customers to request services through their electronic mail system directly to the CLAIMS (Consolidated Loss and Investigation Management Systems) at BofA. Responsible for coding and installation of Positive Pay. Consultant in Residential Lending System's MLCS/LPS, tasked with interfacing APPC front-end systems to the mainframe processing environment; and, several Release 6.0 installation requirements. Required to modify host processor for LAN initiated mortgages to mainframe. Tasked with changing several custom LPS hard-code! d programs to be release compatible. April 1990 to August 1992               Delta Dental/Delta Net

                Modified a Tesseract Claims Processing system, originally running under a pre-CICS terminal monitor. Tasks involved rewriting all I/O modules primarily in Command Level ASSEMBLER and maps in BMS to make them CICS release 2.1 and upward compatible. Totally rewrote 2260 application modules to emulate under 2.1. After installation provided Production Support and resolved Production CICS Abends. Other tasks included several new development projects for Hawaii Medical/Dental Claims Processing system.

August 1989 to April 1990               First Nationwide Bank

                Consultant to FNB on Loan Origination Systems. Acting project manager; lead for a staff of four programmer/analysts. Provided analysis, code development, testing and implementation support using MLCS/LPS vendor software and native command CICS, with SDF mapping and VS COBOL. Several production installations.

August 1988 to August 1989            Wells Fargo Bank

                Analysis and development of conversion software for 401K Master Works system. Developed the front end conversion software for prior record keeper/prior loan accounting data transmission. All development in COBOLII with VSAM/QSAM file structures. Developed test kits and a production data acquisition system using Dialogue Manager.

July 1985 to August 1988                                Citicorp

                Senior developer of on-line CICS phase II MIS system. Responsibilities included: installation of system tables, modification and installation of entire application, NCP enhancements to put additional programs and screens to satisfy application requirements. Played key role in design and development of house-holding customer database. Application consisted of an MIS statistical database containing summarized product, historical and forecasting information for all liabilities accounts. Developed an initial set of daily reports for managers at all levels (e.g., executive, regional, district and branch). System was written using VS/COBOL under MVS/XA. The database was KSDS VSAM files with AIX. All projects were implemented and documented on schedule.

January 1985 to July 1985             Oxford Software

                One of two contractors assigned to write the entire test suite of Quality Assurance code for OPL/4, a fourth generation application software language. Language features included a relational database, interactive screen I/O, support of all existing file access methods and linkage to existing application languages (e.g., BAL, COBOL, PL1, etc.).

April 1984 to November 1984        Ampex

                As a systems programmer/consultant, installed and supported system software products and upgrades using SMP/E. Applications installed and/or modified included IBM DFSORT Rel6, UCC10, $AVERS, INFO/SYS and PANVALET. At the same location, as an applications consultant, modified and installed much of an employee benefit 401K Savings Plan Plus System.

October 1983 to April 1984            Amdahl

                Installed a tax/duty reclamation system utilizing ISPF Dialogue Manager, VS/COBOL and some PL1, and CLISTS. Tested and installed maintenance bulletin updates to CARMS Accounts Receivable system, package written in IMS DB/DC. Designed, coded and installed Marketing Field Sales Analysis Reports subsystem.

May 1982 to October 1983              Macy's California

                Project Leader/Analyst responsible for maintenance and modifications to Accounts Payable, General Ledger/Financial Management, Purchase, Receiving and P&L software systems. Provided initial analysis for conversion to MSA G/L. Technical Coordinator, Personal Computer Network project.

                Time Deposit redesign. Responsible for Initial Deposit, Automatic Funds Transfer, Uncollected Funds Hold and other transaction designs. Designed and coded Accounts Usage Counts subsystem of Account Reconcilement Verification System (ARV), a corporate demand deposit service. Key Support for installation of Electronic Remittance System (telephone bill paying); responsible for localization, testing and implementation.
